I’m a 19 year old Turkish girl currently doing her Erasmus; so how are things going for me currently?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m not going to lie it was really hard at the beginning, the most important factors in my hardships would be as such; First and probably the most important factor would be the fact that I have never been apart from my family at all therefore I am extremely attached to them.Secondly I’m a girl who is really used to certain routines, I like doing the stuff that I’m used to so new things sometimes freak me out. So considering these factors my first few days were rough; I probably cried my whole way to Slovenia. My dad also came along with me for a few days so he had to deal with the whole crying part. I begged him to take me back with him as I felt like I didn’t know anything, didn’t know anyone; I was away from my home country for the first time ever so everything was unfamiliar. My dad obviously didn’t let me, he told me I had to at least try. I’m glad I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So as the days went by I slowly started to be in different circles and kept making new friends. Also to my delight I had made my new routines. I joined events, went on trips, travelled the center… As time went by Ljubljana, the place I desperately wanted to leave, started to feel like a second home to me. I had never felt more freedom in my life. Currently I still do struggle and make mistakes sometimes but it’s okay and I know I will manage it someway eventually. So the lesson here would be that it’s important to leave your comfort zone eventually; it’s gonna happen anyways. It’s okay to feel scared or make mistakes, once you’re used to your surroundings you’ll be fine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
